Personal Background

Clarissa was born in Queens, New York, and at the age of six, her family relocated to South Florida, where much of her extended family resided. This move helped her develop an appreciation for family connections and cultural diversity, as her family represents a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds. While attending Barry University in Miami, she served as the Class Historian in 2008 for her classmates, who came from diverse ethnicities, including Brazilian, West Indian, African American, Chinese, and Central/South American. Her commitment to promoting cultural diversity was recognized by leaders at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital in South Florida, who appointed her as Physician Assistant Diversity Chairman in 2009.

In 2017, Clarissa and her family moved from South Florida to Georgia after identifying better opportunities to enhance their overall quality of life. Outside of work, Clarissa spends her time with friends and family, listening to music, dancing, participating in personal development programs, exploring new healthy recipes, and engaging in community outreach activities with her church.

I am passionate about advancing women's health and providing exceptional care. I look forward to making a positive impact on the lives of our patients at Mountains Women’s Center.
